Chapter 2403

Andrew ignored her completely and went back to work. He reopened the cauldron and began cleaning out the residue, then methodically organized the scattered materials around him.

Lunaโ€™s tone softened without her even realizing it. โ€œAlright, I was out of line earlier. Andrew, will you please teach me alchemy? Iโ€“Iโ€™m begging you.โ€

Andrew froze, utterly stunned. โ€œWhat did you just say? Youโ€™re begging me? Say that againโ€ฆ I didnโ€™t catch it.โ€

Luna clenched her teeth. โ€œI said Iโ€™m begging you. You heard me this time, right?โ€

Andrew tilted his head. โ€œOne more time. Last one, I promise.โ€

Expressionless, Luna said, โ€œIโ€™m begging you, Mr. Lloyd, to teach me the art of alchemy. I will be forever grateful.โ€

Andrew chuckled with obvious satisfaction. โ€œWell, considering how sincere youโ€™re being, I suppose I couldโ€ฆ not teach you!โ€

Lunaโ€™s mind went completely blank for a moment before she shot to her feet in fury. โ€œAndrew, youโ€™re crossing the line! Do you really think I wonโ€™t study under Mr. Orben instead? I know youโ€™re arrogant and wanted to humiliate me, but Iโ€™ve already compromised so much. What else do you want from me?โ€

Andrew sighed heavily. โ€œSit down, will you? Calm down. Fine, Iโ€™ll teach you. Isnโ€™t that enough? Look, Iโ€™m not trying to humiliate you. Iโ€™m tempering that stubborn pride of yours because that attitude will ruin your elixirs every time. Do you understand?โ€

Luna looked skeptical. โ€œAre you being serious right now?โ€

Andrew nodded. โ€œDead serious. But let me be clear about something first: Iโ€™ve never been a mentor before, so my patience has limits. Beyond that, thereโ€™s a rule in alchemy: knowledge mustnโ€™t be shared lightly. Once I teach you the art of elixir making, you have to promise me you wonโ€™t reveal these techniques to anyone and you wonโ€™t use them for anything harmful.โ€

Lunaโ€™s face lit up with genuine joy, and she could not help but smile. โ€œYes, of course. I promise Iโ€™ll do everything you ask.โ€

Andrew laughed along with her. โ€œGeneral Phelan, Iโ€™m curious about something. Why are you so determined to learn elixir making? Youโ€™ve already accomplished so much. Honestly, you donโ€™t need this.โ€

Luna shook her head firmly. โ€œLearning never stops. I used to be obsessed with martial arts and had no idea how incredible alchemy could be. Now that Iโ€™ve advanced higher in martial arts and met more powerful individuals, Iโ€™ve realized that elixirs are essentially a passport to the upper echelons of warrior society. Sometimes a divine alchemist has more influence than a martial emperor.โ€

She continued, โ€œAlso, Iโ€™ve been interested in traditional medicine and our countryโ€™s alchemy since I was young, but I never had the opportunity. My martial arts path was clear, but alchemy always felt distant. It felt like I was watching from the outside looking in. I never actually stepped into that world until now.โ€

Andrew nodded thoughtfully. โ€œOne last question then: why come to me specifically? With your standing, people like Theon and others would jump at the chance to take you on. You could easily approach them or even go straight to Madam Baxter from the Sovereignโ€™s Apothecary.โ€

Luna smiled knowingly. โ€œI did go to her first. She recommended you right away as her top choice, but she emphasized that success would depend entirely on me. She also mentioned Theon and Amari as alternatives, but I didnโ€™t even consider them. From the very beginning, I only wanted to study under you.โ€
