Chapter 2402

Andrew tossed the three bottles into the air like a juggler, catching them with ease. โ€œItโ€™s simple, really. First, storing them separately helps preserve their potency. The higher the quality of the elixir, the more unstable it becomes, and when you mix them, they can react with each other.โ€

He paused meaningfully. โ€œItโ€™s like young couples in love. If you leave them alone without supervision and let them spend all their time together, well, you know whatโ€™s going to happen, right?โ€

Andrew gave Luna a playful look, and her lips twitched involuntarily. She found his comment inappropriate. Was he seriously teasing her right now?

โ€œSo what else?โ€ she asked.

Andrew chuckled. โ€œThe second reason is about increasing value. When you store a premium elixir by itself, doesnโ€™t it seem more prestigious? But if you just throw them all together, the impression isnโ€™t nearly as sophisticated. Sure, these bottles are expensive, donโ€™t get me wrong. But when I sell them, the elixir is one thing, and the bottle is another. I charge separately for both. Because of this single bottle, its value increases from its original ten thousand dollars to one hundred thousand dollars, simply because it once held my elixir.โ€

โ€œJust for that?โ€ Luna asked, her irritation mounting.

Andrew nodded confidently. โ€œExactly. The elixir matters, sure, but the packaging has to match the quality. Thatโ€™s how business works.โ€

Luna nodded, replying in mock respect, โ€œIโ€™ve learned something from the Master of Greed today.โ€

Andrew laughed heartily and gestured for her to sit. โ€œCome on, have a seat, General Phelan. Itโ€™s rare to see you show up uninvited like this, and even rarer to see you act so humble. Back in the day, I thought youโ€™d never step foot in a place like this without making some grand show of it.โ€

Luna sat down and crossed her legs elegantly. โ€œWhen Iโ€™m in unfamiliar territory, I can still manage basic humility and restraint. Besides, watching you work with those elixirs earlier was incredible. You moved through it like a master craftsman. A ninth-grade supreme alchemistโ€ฆ Youโ€™re almost unbelievable.โ€

Andrew waved his hand dismissively. โ€œSpare me the flattery. General Phelan, just tell me what you actually want. Iโ€™m going to be swamped the next couple of days, so I donโ€™t have time to entertain you.โ€

Lunaโ€™s jaw clenched. โ€œAndrew, do you really have so little patience with me now?โ€

Andrew looked genuinely surprised. โ€œNo patience? Thatโ€™s not really about you. I donโ€™t have patience with anyone. Youโ€™re not special in that regard.โ€

Luna almost choked. This bastard was infuriating!

She took a breath and tried again. โ€œI know youโ€™ve never liked my personality, and Iโ€™m not asking you to change that. Let me just be direct: will you teach me how to make elixirs, please?โ€

Andrew raised a brow. โ€œDid you just say please?โ€

Lunaโ€™s face flushed red, her eyes blazing. โ€œDo you really have to put it that way? You know I donโ€™t beg.โ€

Andrew made a dismissive gesture toward the gate. โ€œRight, right. The great Ms. Phelan, too proud to ever ask for help. Well then, the doorโ€™s that way. Donโ€™t let me stop you.โ€

Lunaโ€™s eyes turned icy cold as she glared at him. โ€œYouโ€ฆโ€
