"It sure is lively today."
Just as tension filled the air, a teasing voice cut through like a blade of ice.
"Andrew, youโve done so much evil, itโs about time karma caught up to you. Today, youโre finally getting what you deserve.โ
Andrew frowned and looked past Wilder toward the entrance, wondering, โWho the hell is it now?โ
He could not help but think maybe he should have checked the stars and the planets before opening the door.
Why was everyone coming over to pick a fight with him today?
Everyone turned toward the doorway and saw a stunning woman with a cold expression walking in gracefully.
Wilder said indifferently, โWell, look who it is.โ
The newcomer was not just anyone; it was Valerie. She did not even glance at Wilder. From the moment she appeared, her eyes locked onto Andrew, filled with endless hatred and the urge to kill.
โToday, one of us dies, you bastard,โ she hissed through clenched teeth, her jaw tight enough to crack.
Andrew said calmly, โLast time, you brought that on yourself. If youโre not satisfied, we can do it again. But this time, I wonโt hold back. You might actually die for real, so I hope you take that seriously.โ
Valerieโs face burned red as she recalled the humiliation of being touched, slapped, and completely naked by Andrew that night before. Her anger surged, her once-elegant expression blazing with fury.
She snapped, โFine. Letโs see who dies first.โ
She looked ready to tear him apart right there.
Wilder frowned. โValerie, youโve got a grudge against this brat too?โ
Valerie gritted her teeth. โItโs more than a grudge. In this world, only one of us can exist. Either he goes, or I do.โ
Wilder nodded slowly. โYour feud isnโt something Iโll interfere in. But Andrew, you sure have a lot of enemies. Youโre like a piece of rotten trash; wherever you go, someone ends up suffering.โ
Andrew shrugged. โYeah, Iโm rotten trash. At least Iโm not the one with a dead son, and I wonโt end up as a childless old man with no one to care for me.โ
Wilderโs blood boiled. In a flash of rage, he raised his hand, spiritual energy roaring through the hall like a storm.
The entire Medicine Godโs Covenant shook violently under the pressure.
Valerie stumbled forward and stood between them, shouting, โMr. Murphy Senior, wait! Andrew is mine. You canโt kill him.โ
Wilder roared, โMove aside! That bastard deserves to die! Today, I donโt care if itโs called bullying; Iโll crush this menace myself!โ
Valerie said coldly, โAnd what about my revenge then? He humiliated me! He stole my innocence! I swore Iโd take his life with my own hands!โ
Wilder froze, his expression uncertain. โYouโre sayingโฆ he took your innocence?โ
Valerieโs face turned crimson. She gave a small, silent nod.
Wilder stared at Andrew for a long moment before smirking darkly. โSo not only did you murder my son, but you also had the guts to assault the Reyes familyโs precious princess? Andrew, youโre as good as dead. If someone like you gets to live, it would be a complete injustice.โ
He continued, โFine. Iโll let Valerie handle it. If she kills you, Iโll call it even. But if she fails, Iโll finish the job myself. In other words, youโre trapped between a wolf and a tiger. No escape. Only death awaits you.โ
Andrew looked completely unfazed. โIf youโre done talking, then get lost already. Oh, wait, Mr. Murphy Senior, since youโre here, let me offer you a deal. My shop just opened today, and everythingโs on sale. Premium elixirs, finest quality. Want to buy some?"
โEven if you donโt need them, you can always bury them next to your dead son. Iโm sure he would appreciate them in the underworld. After all, some of these were crafted by yours truly.โ
