Chapter 2469

โ€œFine,โ€ Titus said slowly, choosing his words carefully. โ€œI believe you and Andrew arenโ€™t involved that way. Honestly, Brielle, Iโ€™ve always felt sorry for what happened to you back then. Losing your childโ€ฆ no one deserved that. Iโ€™ve carried guilt over it for years. I justโ€ฆโ€

โ€œShut up,โ€ Brielle cut him off sharply. โ€œYou donโ€™t get to pretend to care, not after dragging up the past. If youโ€™re done talking, then get the hell out of my sight.โ€

Titus gave her a forced smile. โ€œThere it is, that temper of yours. After all these years, it still hasnโ€™t changed. Anyway, I came to tell you something. Andrew and Amari just formed a group called the Medicine Godโ€™s Covenant.

โ€œFrom the name alone, you can tell theyโ€™re planning to go up against Sovereignโ€™s Apothecary. I figured you had a right to know. Andrew is dangerous. Iโ€™ve already issued an order to blacklist him and Amari. If youโ€™re still in contact with him, youโ€™d better tell him to back down before itโ€™s too late.โ€

Brielleโ€™s tone was calm but firm. โ€œHe has nothing to do with me anymore. Whatever he wants to do, thatโ€™s his business, not mine. But Iโ€™ll give you a word of advice: donโ€™t underestimate those two, especially Andrew. This is Chetvine, his territory. The Lloyd familyโ€™s Dragon Prince didnโ€™t earn that title for nothing. A ninth-grade supreme alchemist is no ordinary man.โ€

She added, โ€œIf you push them into a corner, you wonโ€™t get submission. Instead, youโ€™ll get retaliation, maybe even bloodshed. Youโ€™ve been in the sect for far too long, Titus. Youโ€™ve forgotten how ruthless the real world can be. When it comes to strategy, influence, and business warfare, Andrew leaves everyone else in the dust.โ€

Titus gave a cold laugh. โ€œHe chose his path. Weโ€™re no longer allies. Funny, thoughโ€ฆ that you speak so highly of him. Anyone listening would think you have feelings for the man.โ€

Brielle snorted. โ€œIdiot. Take it as a warning if you want, or ignore it; I donโ€™t care. But when Andrew rises to power, donโ€™t come crying to me.โ€

Titus sneered. โ€œIf that man ever manages to rise again, Iโ€™ll march myself back to the Divine Alchemists and offer my own head to atone.โ€

Brielle did not bother replying after that. There was no point since Titus was not listening. He had no idea how terrifying Andrew truly was.

You could befriend him, sure, but cross him, and your life was as good as over.

โ€œMedicine Godโ€™s Covenant? What the hell is that supposed to be?โ€ someone scoffed.

โ€œJust another alchemy shop, huh? Do they even know what theyโ€™re getting into? Chetvineโ€™s alchemy trade has always been dominated by Sovereignโ€™s Apothecary and a few ancient houses. And now these clowns think they can just open a shop here? Thatโ€™s suicide.โ€

Another voice laughed. โ€œYeah, letโ€™s check it out. Probably some spoiled scion playing business tycoon. If they last three days, Iโ€™ll eat my hat! And better yet, Iโ€™ll do a live stream while sticking my hand in a burning fire.โ€

By dawn, the Medicine Godโ€™s Covenant signboard had already gone up. By noon, the public outrage had exploded. People passing by mocked it nonstop, convinced it would not last a week.

Andrew, however, could not have cared less. There was not even a receptionist at the door. Visitors were free to walk in and look around on their own, and if they did not, so be it. The place carried an air of quiet confidence, even arrogance.

Then came a loud crash as someone kicked over the decorative flower stands by the entrance.

A thug shouted, โ€œSmash it! Wreck everything! Letโ€™s see this shop shut down before it even opens for business!โ€ The chaos did not surprise Andrew at all. He had known from the start that trouble would come knocking on his door the moment they opened.
