Just from Roy’s tone, it was clear he was angry.

Chris was about to speak, but Jessica directly admitted it.

“Yes, that’s right. It was me.”

“Do you know this is obstructing justice!” Roy slammed the table and spoke harshly to Jessica.

Jessica smiled slightly and patted Chris’s hand. He quickly poured tea for Roy. “Roy, calm down. Let Jessica finish.”

Roy glanced at Chris and forced himself to remain calm. “Alright, go on.”

“Actually, from the beginning, I was the one sending you information. Otherwise, how could you have found out about Aitairy so quickly? I erased both my name and the Hall family’s from the records to help you screen for suspicious insiders.”

“You mean…”

“There’s a mole among you.”

The whole private room fell silent for a long moment.

Roy was shocked and didn’t react to the hot tea until it slid down his throat, causing him to gasp sharply from the burn.

“Hey, don’t be so anxious!” Chris was startled and tried to pour more tea but saw Roy coughing and hurriedly grabbed the juice on the table. “Drink slowly, what’s wrong with you?”

Jessica sat calmly and waited until Roy stopped coughing before continuing, “There’s another reason I erased myself and the Hall family—to avoid alerting the enemy.”

Chris couldn’t understand much about business, but Roy, unusually serious, listened to Jessica for a long time.

When the manager and staff brought in the dishes, Roy still hadn’t fully reacted.

“Chris, who the hell is she?”

Roy wasn’t surprised now that Chris couldn’t control Jessica.

Roy sighed deeply and cursed inwardly at his men. They were completely fooled by a woman. They thought the Aitairy case was settled smoothly, but the evidence was handed over by Jessica, and she did a lot more than he expected.

“What do you intend to do?” asked Roy.

Chris interrupted them both.

“All the dishes are here. Let’s eat while talking.” Chris didn’t even bother to eat himself and took care of both sides.

Jessica felt even happier when Chris personally picked dishes for her. In a good mood, she was naturally more gentle with Roy.

If not for Chris’s face, she wouldn’t have told Roy these matters. Lately, she had been pursuing Chris, so pleasing Roy was also pleasing him.

After the meal and drinks, Jessica didn’t reveal too much. She just told him to pay her and Chris a visit at home.

Michael couldn’t attend the golden wedding anniversary banquet. He began sulking at home with Jordan. Normally, he would pretend to be gentle in front of Jennifer, but now, he couldn’t be bothered to put on an act. Recently, he had been smashing things quite frequently.

Many vases bought for the house were broken.

Jennifer called Jessica to complain.

“If he breaks them, just buy new ones. It’s not like you can’t afford them.”

Jessica was reviewing a contract. The legal counsel sitting across from her was revising terms.

Upon hearing this, the counsel glanced up at the rich and powerful Jessica, then quickly looked down again.

“I’m serious, how did you fall for someone like him back then? He’s a useless wretch. I saw some documents on his study desk. The prices were so high that he’s not making any money. If the Hall family business falls into his hands, it might be done for.”

Jessica paused. “What contract?”

Relying on memory, Jennifer named a few parties.

Jessica immediately searched for information and discovered those contracts were from business partners Luke had been negotiating with recently.

The branch company’s affairs had nothing to do with Michael, so why did he have draft contracts?
