Listen to this chapter:

"Alright, Boss," the two replied in unison.

Soon, all four of them were seated in the meeting room.

Ian laid out the data for everyone to analyze.

Aurora asked Henry to take a look at the numbers and share his thoughts.

"Well? Whatever comes to mind, just say it."

Her encouraging gaze met his, and Henry was caught off guard. But after a moment, he nodded and carefully gave his opinion.

When he finished, Aurora was the first to applaud.

"Not bad. Youโ€™ve definitely made progress." She turned to Ian. "From now on, take him along with you. Give the newcomers more chances. I think heโ€™s someone we can train."

"No problem, Boss."

To be honest, Ian was a little surprised too. He had assumed these two new hires were promising but would still need more time to adjust.

Yet their performance today proved otherwise โ€“ solid, confident, and beyond expectations.

It was clear they both had real potential. The data analysis was sharp and thorough.

Aurora then asked Hannah to present her progress. To her surprise, Hannah said directly, "Boss, Iโ€™ve already started negotiating with a client about the studioโ€™s business."

"So soon?"

Auroraโ€™s brows lifted; she hadnโ€™t expected things to move this quickly. She thought it would take a while longer.

"It was just a coincidence," Hannah said, not trying to take credit.

"Before I even had the chance to say much, the client found out who owns the studio and immediately wanted to keep the conversation going.

"Itโ€™s all thanks to you, Boss. You laid the foundation. We only get these opportunities because of that."

Aurora felt a little embarrassed at the praise.

"Itโ€™s not as great as you make it sound. This was your own effort, your unique eye for opportunities. Iโ€™m just glad I hired two such capable people. Keep working hard here at the studio, and your salaries will definitely reflect it."

"Thank you, Boss," the two replied in unison.

Off to the side, Megan let out a yawn. Aurora gave her a light tap. "Pay attention and learn. One day when Iโ€™m not around, this studio will need you to step up."

"Why wouldnโ€™t you be around?" Megan shot back instinctively.

Aurora answered calmly, "There will always be times when I canโ€™t be here. When that happens, Iโ€™ll need you to hold things together."

Megan almost pointed out that Ian would still be there, but the look Aurora gave her โ€“ dark and unamused โ€“ made her swallow the words.

Fine, better to keep quiet. Doing her own work properly should be enough.

And besides, Aurora was only pushing her for her own good. She once promised to be Auroraโ€™s solid support. That promise wasnโ€™t just empty words. She needed to show results.

Her expression grew firm. "I understand. Donโ€™t worry. Iโ€™ll work hard and wonโ€™t let you down."

"Youโ€™re doing it so you donโ€™t let yourself down," Aurora reminded her gently with a smile.

"I promised your parents Iโ€™d look after you, and I wonโ€™t go back on that. But what I want most is to see you keep improving, not stay stuck where you are."

"Alright, I get it."

In that moment, Megan finally understood the depth of Auroraโ€™s intentions.
